A weekend of events in Donegal |

North Donegal |

Three events were arranged over the weekend. Anna Cooper led a workshop for special needs people on the Friday afternoon in the Angle Day centre Dungloe. Then Fri evening 6 of us played in the Ostan an Bear Mor - noisy and hot but very well received. Then on the Sat. we played a concert in Falcarragh Community Hospital for the elderly. Altogether a very successful weekend and one we would love to repeat. |

The Orpheus Lyre Ensemble (affiliated to the Celtic Lyre Orchestra) played at the opening of the Titanic Bar in the Osyssey Pavillion Belfast, situated a stones throw from the original dock where the Titanic was built in 1912 by Harland and Wolf. The picture shows us with an ice sculpture of the famous boat. |

The Celtic Lyre orchestra have been invited to play at a special event in Brussels over the weekend. We will have with us Brendan Monaghan - uillean pipe player extraordinaire. 28 of us are flying from Dublin - this promises to be an exciting weekend. More details as I get them. |
